How JurisPK collects, uses, protects, retains, and discloses account, payment, support, search, and technical information.Controller
ENTERPRISE OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED operates JurisPK at jurispk.com. For privacy questions, contact support@jurispk.com.
JurisPK is based in Islamabad, Pakistan. We process information to provide a Pakistan-focused legal and regulatory research platform, operate accounts and paid access, protect the service, verify payments, provide support, maintain records, and comply with applicable law.
Scope
This Privacy Policy covers personal information connected with your JurisPK account, sessions, searches, payments, support requests, security events, and use of the platform.
This Privacy Policy does not convert public legal records into private account data. Court records, regulatory records, judgments, orders, notices, statutes, rules, public filings, and other public-source materials may contain names, facts, allegations, citations, addresses, officials, lawyers, parties, organizations, and case details. Those materials are governed by their public-record or source status, not only by your relationship with JurisPK.
Information We Collect
We may collect and process:
- Account information, including email address, display name, account identifiers, authentication status, verified identity signals, password hash where applicable, session identifiers, signup timestamps, account status, and subscription status.
- Search and usage information, including queries, filters, result interactions, selected documents, preview/full-text access events, usage counts, plan tier, limit events, timestamps, and local or server-side search history where supported.
- Payment and billing information, including selected plan, billing interval, order ID, amount in Pakistani Rupees, payment method, payment label, payment reference, transaction ID, payment screenshot if uploaded, payer name, payer phone number if provided, user notes, reconciliation status, review notes, reviewer actions, activation status, refund or correction requests, and related correspondence.
- Support information, including emails, messages, attachments, screenshots, complaint details, source-correction requests, privacy questions, account requests, security reports, and operational correspondence.
- Technical information, including IP-derived request metadata, browser and device signals, user agent, page and endpoint requests, error logs, security logs, audit logs, rate-limit events, abuse indicators, session events, and diagnostic records.
- Administrative records, including admin actions, account plan changes, payment review actions, support decisions, source review decisions, security decisions, and operational notes.
Information You Should Not Send
JurisPK is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. You should not send us privileged legal advice, client secrets, confidential case strategy, sensitive personal documents, passwords, full payment credentials, private keys, or materials you are not authorized to share unless you accept the risk of submitting them to a technology platform rather than to your own lawyer.
Payment-reference and screenshot submissions should include only the information needed to reconcile and verify your payment. Do not send unnecessary financial, identity, account-statement, password, credential, or third-party personal information.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create, authenticate, verify, secure, and manage accounts and sessions.
- Provide guest, free, Plus, and Pro access according to plan rules.
- Enforce query limits, preview rules, full-text access, fair-use rules, and abuse controls.
- Process checkout flows, payment-reference submissions, manual payment review, subscription activation, payment rejection, refunds, corrections, and support requests.
- Operate search, document preview, full-text delivery, citation lookup, filtering, source organization, and legal research workflow features.
- Store and display search history or recent activity where the product supports it.
- Debug errors, improve relevance, maintain records, test quality, perform analytics, monitor reliability, and improve the product.
- Detect, prevent, investigate, and respond to fraud, forged payment references, account sharing, scraping, attacks, unauthorized access, abuse, malware, spam, denial-of-service activity, and other misuse.
- Maintain financial, tax, accounting, audit, reporting, compliance, business, and legal records.
- Comply with applicable law, court orders, lawful authority requests, regulatory duties, or legal process.
Self-Built Platform and No External AI Sharing
JurisPK's legal-search and platform intelligence features are self-built and self-contained. We do not send user searches, account data, payment references, private usage data, or support content to external AI model providers for query planning, summarization, legal analysis, or search assistance.
Where we use infrastructure, hosting, email delivery, security tooling, or other operational providers, they are used to run the service and are not given user data for their own independent advertising or AI model-training purposes.
Public Legal Records
JurisPK indexes public legal and regulatory materials that may contain personal information because legal systems and regulatory systems publish names, parties, lawyers, judges, officers, public officials, organizations, facts, allegations, orders, outcomes, and citations.
We do not treat lawfully available public legal-record content as private account information merely because it appears on JurisPK. If the same information is available from public, official, reported, licensed, or authorized records, JurisPK may continue to index and display it for legal research, citation, transparency, source integrity, and public-record purposes.
Requests relating to public legal records will be assessed against public-record status, source accuracy, source integrity, legal obligations, binding orders, and platform quality. We may correct technical or metadata errors, but we generally do not remove public legal records solely because they are inconvenient, reputationally harmful, or unwanted.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell account personal information.
We may disclose information:
- To service providers that help us operate hosting, email, security, logging, analytics, payments, support, storage, or infrastructure, subject to appropriate service-purpose limits.
- To payment, wallet, bank, telecom, or reconciliation parties where needed to verify, correct, refund, or investigate a payment.
- To professional advisers, auditors, accountants, lawyers, insurers, or compliance reviewers where needed for business, legal, reporting, or compliance purposes.
- To courts, regulators, law enforcement, public authorities, or other parties where required by law, lawful authority, court order, legal process, fraud prevention, security response, or protection of rights.
- To investigate or enforce our Terms, prevent abuse, protect users, protect public safety, secure the platform, or defend legal claims.
- In connection with a merger, sale, financing, restructuring, acquisition, transfer of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
Legal Requests and Public Authorities
We may preserve, access, use, or disclose information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, court order, legal process, regulator request, law-enforcement request, tax or accounting requirement, fraud investigation, payment dispute, security incident, or protection of rights.
Where legally permitted and practical, we may ask requesting parties to provide appropriate legal basis, scope, authority, and identifying information. We may challenge, narrow, or decline requests that appear overbroad, informal, defective, or inconsistent with applicable law.
We may not be able to notify affected users about legal requests if prohibited by law, court order, security need, confidentiality requirement, or operational risk.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account, payment, support, and operational information. These may include password hashing, email verification, server-side sessions, access controls, rate limits, security headers, validation, audit logs, admin controls, monitoring, backups, and abuse checks.
No internet service can be guaranteed perfectly secure. You are responsible for protecting your email account, password, devices, browser sessions, and payment references.
Security Incidents
If we become aware of a security incident affecting account, payment, support, or operational information, we will investigate and take steps we consider appropriate under the circumstances. Those steps may include containment, remediation, credential or session resets, user notice, authority notice, service-provider coordination, logging, preservation of evidence, or additional safeguards.
Notice timing and content may depend on the nature of the incident, available facts, law-enforcement needs, platform security, legal advice, and applicable law.
Retention
We may retain records for service delivery, reporting, tax, accounting, compliance, audits, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, quality review, business operations, legal obligations, and platform integrity.
Retention periods may vary by record type. In general:
- Account and subscription records may be retained while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support, compliance, reporting, audit, and dispute purposes.
- Payment, invoice, refund, and reconciliation records may be retained for financial, tax, accounting, reporting, anti-fraud, and compliance purposes.
- Search, usage, rate-limit, and access records may be retained to provide product features, enforce limits, improve quality, prevent abuse, and analyze platform performance.
- Security logs, admin audit logs, and abuse records may be retained longer where needed to protect the platform, investigate incidents, preserve evidence, or prevent repeat abuse.
- Support correspondence may be retained to resolve requests, maintain service history, verify decisions, and protect legal rights.
- Public legal-record materials may remain available as long as they remain within our lawful source, public-record, licensed, or authorized platform scope.
We may keep aggregated, de-identified, or operational statistics that do not directly identify you.
Your Choices
You may contact support@jurispk.com to request account help, correction of account details, password reset, payment review, subscription support, privacy review, or account closure.
We may ask for information needed to verify your identity or locate the relevant account or record. We may decline, limit, or defer requests where retention, access, or display is required or justified by law, public-record status, payment records, tax or reporting obligations, fraud prevention, security, audits, dispute resolution, platform integrity, or legitimate business needs.
Closing an account does not necessarily delete payment, audit, security, reporting, compliance, support, or public-record information.
Children's Privacy
JurisPK is intended for legal research, professional, academic, governmental, institutional, and adult personal use. It is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided account information to JurisPK, contact support@jurispk.com.
International Users
JurisPK may be accessed from outside Pakistan, but it is operated from Pakistan and currently supports paid payments in Pakistani Rupees. By using the platform from another country, you understand that information may be processed in Pakistan and in locations where our operational providers process data.
You are responsible for complying with local laws that apply to your access, use, payment, or reliance on Pakistani legal materials.
Data Protection Law Changes
Pakistan's data protection framework may change over time, including through draft or enacted personal data protection legislation, rules, regulator guidance, cyber laws, or sector-specific requirements. We may update this Privacy Policy and our practices to reflect new legal obligations, regulator expectations, or operational safeguards.
