Data Retention Policy
How JurisPK retains account, payment, usage, support, audit, security, and public-record materials for service, reporting, compliance, and integrity.Purpose
JurisPK retains records to operate the platform, provide accounts and subscriptions, verify payments, support users, maintain legal research quality, protect the service, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, support reporting, and comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit, and regulatory obligations.
Retention periods may vary depending on the record type, account status, payment status, legal requirements, operational need, security risk, and public-record status.
Account Records
We may retain account records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Account records may include email address, display name, account ID, authentication state, session history, plan status, account status, support history, and administrative actions.
We may retain account records after closure where needed for reporting, compliance, audit, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, payment history, or enforcement of the Terms.
Payment and Subscription Records
We may retain payment, billing, manual review, subscription, refund, and reconciliation records for reporting, tax, accounting, audit, financial control, anti-fraud, compliance, dispute resolution, and business operations.
These records may include plan selected, billing interval, amount in Pakistani Rupees, order ID, payment reference, transaction ID, payment screenshot where uploaded, payer name, payer phone number where provided, payment notes, review status, review notes, activation status, refund status, and related support correspondence.
Payment and financial records may be retained even after account closure where required or justified for compliance, reporting, accounting, audit, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
Search and Usage Records
We may retain search and usage records to provide product features, enforce plan limits, improve relevance, debug problems, analyze performance, prevent abuse, investigate misuse, and maintain service quality.
Search and usage records may include queries, filters, timestamps, result interactions, document access events, preview/full-text delivery events, usage counts, rate-limit events, plan tier, and session identifiers.
We may aggregate, de-identify, or summarize usage information for reporting, quality, and product analytics.
Support and Correspondence
We may retain support emails, correction requests, billing requests, refund requests, privacy requests, security reports, screenshots, attachments, and related correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests, maintain service history, verify decisions, improve support, defend legal claims, and preserve audit records.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive information in support requests.
Security and Audit Records
Security logs, abuse records, admin audit logs, access events, rate-limit events, suspicious activity indicators, payment-fraud indicators, and enforcement records may be retained for longer periods where needed to protect JurisPK, users, source materials, payment integrity, and platform reliability.
These records help us investigate incidents, prevent repeated abuse, detect account compromise, respond to legal requests, and preserve evidence.
Public Legal Records
Public legal-record materials indexed by JurisPK may be retained as part of the platform's legal research corpus as long as they remain within our lawful source, public-record, official, licensed, permitted, or authorized platform scope.
Public-record retention is not controlled only by an individual account closure request. If a court judgment, regulatory order, statute, notification, circular, or other public legal material is available in public records or authorized sources, it may remain available through JurisPK.
Backups and Archives
Deleted, corrected, or closed-account information may remain in backups, archives, logs, or disaster-recovery systems for a limited period until those systems are overwritten or rotated according to operational schedules.
Access to backups and archives is limited to operational, security, continuity, legal, or compliance purposes.
Retention Review
We may delete, anonymize, aggregate, archive, restrict, or retain records depending on their purpose, age, risk, legal status, and operational value.
We may decline deletion or restriction requests where retention is needed for law, public-record integrity, payment records, tax, accounting, reporting, audit, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legitimate business purposes.
